The Kinsmen held their annual election of officers on Wednesday, May 13th.
Elected to the club’s presidency for the 2015/2016 Kin year was Ron Legault. Ron has been a member of the Kinsmen for 5 years and was previously the cub’s Vice-President.
Elected to the position of Vice-President was Mike Sumpter who previously the Club Registrar for 5 years.
Mike Richardson was elected to his second term as Club Treasurer and Dan Gibson, a first year member, was elected to the position of Secretary.
The club’s new Registrar is Mike Sumpter Jr. and rounding out the executive are directors are Jason Kelland and Wes Fenner.
The Past President’s chair is being filled by Steve Dinsmore who completed two years as Club President.
The Kinsmen also decided at the meeting that they would install a sidewalk along the north side of the playground at Brown Drive/Kin Park so that people using strollers or wheelchairs could access the areas of the playground easier. It is hoped that this will be done by mid-June.
Kinsmen Larry Adair was the winner of the Public Speaking for the South Island Zone and would go on to compete at the district convention for the provincial award.
